"Dark Waters" movie
The past day or two I saw the ad/notice by one of the cable channels that this movie was going to be shown this weekend, but I didn't write it down.Today, while watching "Thor: Ragnorak", I realized I needed to check the channel listings, if I wanted to catch a viewing of it. And, I caught it a little more than half way through.
Mark Ruffalo does a great job again, portraying another key figure (Robert Bilott) in the effort to do the right thing in spite of great odds, and significant stress. But, really, it's much more than stress. Stress barely begins to describe the pain and suffering he experiences. At one point the movie shows the dark figure following him in a parking garage, and the potential threat of his car being tampered with.
In the back of my mind, I keep thinking about my own story. My own work, taking the opportunity to do something that means something 10 years ago, and still pushing forward, in spite of harassment by the very "helping community", who's job I'm completing.
